Exterior Refinishing Process
Our process of refinishing your aircraft is outlined below. Click any step to view an image of our works in progress as we restore your craft.
 Choose a step below to begin:
- Step 1: Multi-layer masking protects the plastic parts from stripper.
- Step 2: A heavy layer of stripper is left for a few moments to do it's magic.
- Step 3: After just a short while the old paint starts peeling away from the aluminum
- Step 4:
- Step 5: The stripper has been removed and the rivets need to be dressed.
- Step 6:
- Step 7: Another shot of the rivets being cleaned with a soft wire brush.
- Step 8:
- Step 9: Alodine process or prime treatment (Picture coming soon!)
- Step 10: Apply corrosion resistant epoxy primer gray or yellow green.
- Step 11:
- Step 12: Basecolor applied with the N-number masking in progress.
- Step 13:
- Step 14: Masking for trim color.
- Step 15:
- Step 16: Just out of the paint booth ready for cleanup
- Step 17:
- Step 18: After cleanup the paint really makes this aircraft look like a million bucks.
